Rain

Yesterday we planned to camp out in our backyard to "practice" before our chuurch has their campout next week. Well, it rained and rained and Eric was not a happy camper! We didn't even pitch the tent because of the weather. We ended up on the back porch huddled around the grill roasting marshmallows! We tried to put Eric in the play-pen on the porch with a bunch of toys but he wanted out. Isaac fell asleep in my arms while we watched the lighting storm. So much for camping. At least we got to spend time with my Dad, sister and brother-in-law. My Mom was on a garden tour in Taos.

Today after church Isaac fell asleep on the way home and stayed asleep until after 6:00pm! Maybe he is having a growth spurt with all this sleeping he has been doing. Of course he is wide awake now and really doesn't know what to do with himself. Around dinner time it rained so hard here it came in under my porches. Anyone who has seen my porches knows rain usually doesn't make it in because they are very wide. Well, my windows even got wet! The lightening was also very scary. As fast as the storm started it ended. The power went out a few times but came right back on. Now we have muddy mess everywhere!
