Are they here yet?????????

Today the plan was for Isaac to be picked up by his Nana and Papa to have a fun filled day away from Mom. Well, everything was on schedule until we got a phone call from my Mom (aka - Nana) saying they were going to help some people they don't know move. Ok, fine. You explain to a very excited three year old who already has his bags packed that his day just got totally changed. Nana talked to Isaac on the phone and everything seemed to be worked out. The new plan was for Isaac to be picked up after they were done doing their good deed some time in the late afternoon. This phone conversation took place around 9:00am. For the rest of the day all I heard from a very cranky and sad Isaac was, "Are they here yet? When will they get here? Did they forget? Where are they? I want my Nana and Papa! Call Nana and see if she is done yet! Did she call and say she was done? What are they doing? Take me to my Nana's!" This went on until a little after 5:00pm when Isaac gave up and fell asleep on the sofa. About 10 minutes later Papa arrived to pick him up. Moral of the story... Never tell a three year old what he will be doing for the day until you are actually doing it!
On a happier note, we had company for dinner. Some people from Chicago, IL just moved here and none of their things have arrived yet. They are basically camping in their house until their stuff gets here. They have a three year old boy and a little baby girl. (We met them at church.) We had a nice time and really enjoyed getting to know them.
